A successful marriage thrives on the support and love of family and friends; encouraging and cheering you on as you travel upon your life journey together. Recognising your endeavours and achievements and bolstering you when times are difficult. Consequently that is incentive to invite your “support group”, as guests, to attend your wedding ceremony.
Perhaps also a valid reason to incorporate your guests as part of your marriage ceremony, bringing your “cheer team” together so to speak.
On occasion I get asked by marrying couples on ways to include the participation of their wedding guests in their ceremony.
One of the simplest, friendliest ways to do so is for each guest to turn to the person next to them, say hello, perhaps shake hands, and then maybe say something like in the “spirit of peace and love”, or “Peace”, “Namaste” or whatever appeals.
This exchange, done towards the end of the ceremony, forms a friendly connection, ultimately developing a harmonious blending of your community of family and friends. “Your Support People”
